About Me

My name is Amy M. White, M.A.; I am a writer, artist, photographer, mother, and widow. I enjoy spending time in libraries or little bookshops. History is my passion, and writing is my voice.

I have a thirteen-year-old son, who came to us through the blessing of adoption, and he is just the joy of my life. He's smart, witty, kind, compassionate, and hilarious. He loves to play sports and always tries to do as he is told. We are both learning as we go. He's recently started really opening up to me, and I love talking to him. It's usually about sports, school, or something he watched on YouTube, but I love hearing his insights and thoughts about what's going on in his world. He's a terrific kid, and I am continuously blessed to be his Mom.

My bright, loving, and passionately kind husband of fourteen years passed away 2 years ago after a four-year battle with Leukemia. He was strong, honorable, and witty. He was the love of my life. I grew up with Keith; he was my person and my rock. I miss him tremendously, and I still talk to him all the time. I know he's listening, probably cringing at times, but I hope I give him a good laugh every now and again.

Beyond my feisty teenage parent duties, I am also a fur mom to the world's cutest Mini Bernadoodle, Teddy and the most serious Cockapoo, Winston Churchill. The dogs are my co-workers who keep me on my toes and busy hopping up and down throughout the week as I try to work my 9-5 job.

Currently, I am attempting to reignite my writing! I have taken quite a bit of time away from my books, blog, and other things to focus on my mental health and little family. Now I need to start documenting our journey and celebrate the wins big and small! Hopefully, you'll see more activity here on the blog.

In the meantime, if you're interested in reading more of my writing, please visit my older blog posts or browse my books on Amazon.
