Idioms & Ignorance

This morning I found myself reading through article after article about the growing number of people in both Britain and the United States that are turning against their countrymen based solely on religion. No offense but the Brits have a kind of reputation for that, but the American's don't you think that is a bit hypocritical? The problem is, in my humble opinion, that history is not being taught as well or as widely as it ought to be, if it were then the sarcasm would not be as humorous. Regarding Kim Davis and your article: I realize a lot of people are feeling very strong about the current political climate, but in those instances where feelings are running high it is important to stick to the facts. This article is extremely bias. It is correct that the United States Supreme Court did not make any new laws that said to issue persons of the LGBT community marriage license, but that is not how the system works either. You say that Huckabee is giving Congress the "civics lesson that they never got in grade school." Really? I suppose that means your knowledge of the US government and its function is limited, and you are relying on Mike Huckabee to define the workings of the United States Government for you and your readership.
